Description:

The World in Us, a youth-led cultural education nonprofit, is holding a writing competition open to all writing related to cultural connections. Potential questions your piece may explore include, but are certainly not limited to, the following: What does culture mean to you? How have cultural connections influenced your life? Why do culture and cultural connections matter?

Pieces up to 3,000 words long can be submitted as either creative writing (e.g., short stories, flash fiction, personal essays/memoirs, poetry, etc.) or critical writing (e.g., art or media reviews, persuasive/opinion essays, journalism, etc.). Over $400 worth of prizes will be awarded.
