BRIGHT LITE is an independent, reader-generated publication and digital platform created for adolescents. Available bi-annually, the journal driven format offers a unique inclusive space for readers to safely share their voice. Our creators are the next generation of strong, smart trailblazers who believe that every voice that deserves a home. As always we’re looking for photos, essays, drawings, comics, journal entries, letters and anything else you want to share with us.

We have different themes per month, please check our website to see this month's theme. YOUNG MUSES/CHILDREN SUBMISSIONS: Guardian Angel Kids is pleased to announce we are now accepting submissions from children up to 14. FICTION: Up to 500 words. Picture stories: adventure, animal, humorous, multicultural, nature/environment, problem-solving, sports. Character driven stories that children will be able to relate to. ARTICLES OR ACTIVITIES: Up to 500 words. Articles may include activities, animals, arts/crafts, concept, cooking, math, nature/environment, problem-solving, science. POETRY: Kid-oriented poetry. Poems must be well written with no forced rhyme and roll off the tongue.

Contest Rules: Stories must be submitted on the attached form. Entries must be typed and in English. Maximum story length is 1000 words. Entries can be fiction, non-fiction or poems. Kids may choose any topic, as long as it is age-appropriate. Contest is open to all children, worldwide, ages 8-12. Entries must be the original unpublished work of the child entering the contest. Stories will not be returned. More than one entry per child is allowed (be sure to include the $20 reading fee for each story submitted). Entries are automatically disqualified if a reading fee check is returned for insufficient funds. Please do not staple checks to the story or entry form. Please do not send entries in over-sized envelopes.

We welcome YOU — young writers and artists — to appear on our Magic Dragon pages! Everyone 12 years old and younger is invited to send their best writing and art to share with Magic Dragon readers. Writing – Type (double space) or print neatly. Stories and essays can be up to three pages, poetry up to 30 lines. You can write about anything that is important to you; it can be serious or funny, true or fiction.

Story Monsters Ink® is looking for K-12 student submissions! Send us your articles, essays, poems, or drawings to be published in an upcoming issue! BONUS! If your work is chosen for publication in the magazine, you will receive a check for $15 and a free digital copy of the issue of the magazine. Submissions should not exceed two pages in length in order to be considered for publication.
